The Bucket List on Facebook

N7663555495_467664_9292 Yesterday, I riffed about the new movie The Bucket List, suggesting that it would be a great idea to start a meme. Well, I went to Facebook and am pleased to find that Warner Bros. is using the social network as a grassroots, viral marketing platform to promote the movie.

First, they created an which allows users to create their own bucket list, then share them with their friends. Second, they created a which members can join as fans.

Pretty cool when you consider that the movie features actors that are well into their 70s and that the theme probably has less appeal to the typical Facebook user.

Oddly, I wasnt' able to find a MySpace page for the movie. That may be due to the fact that I no longer have a MySpace account though.
