Realtors who get social media marketing: Andy Kaufman
Andy Kaufman and I go way back. We even worked for the same company at one time. Of all the Realtors I know, Andy is one who really gets social media marketing and at a granular level. Here are his responses to some interview questions I shot his way.
What is your opinion on Realtors and blogging? Is it a useful tool
to generate leads? Why?
It's tough, but if you can pull it off, it's a great tool to generate business. In addition to the obvious SEO benefits, it provides an amazing opportunity to build your brand in order to stand out from the crowd.
Got some tips on the best way to use a blog for lead generation?
Provide the information that your target audience is looking for, along with calls to action.
What else is working so far as Web 2.0 stuff is concerned?
Brian Brady talks a lot about be ubiquitous on the web and I agree with him. By using these online tools and then using them to connect and generate social capital, we're leaving little bread crumbs all over the internet that show our passion and knowledge. When people contact me, they've often seen me all over the web and are comfortable in who I am and what I can bring to the table.
Are you seeing business off Twitter, Active Rain, other social networks or apps?
Twitter is still my favorite social media tool. It's so simple and can be used in so many different ways. I have a that I use to connect and publish my thoughts and I'm developing a professional account that is entirely real estate based and is compiled into daily digests on my blog.
