Why TypePad was chosen as the platform for Conversational Media Marketing
In the battle of the blog platforms for the Conversational Media Marketing blog, TypePad has risen victorious.
You've got to be asking, "Paul, of all the platforms you could have chosen, why TypePad?" Nostalgia, plain and simple.
TypePad was where I started blogging back in December of 2003. Though I've blogged on most every other popular blog platform - WordPress.org and .com, Blogger, and Movable Type, along with some proprietary ones - I've always had this warm place in my heart for Typepad.
Plus, I wanted to give TP another try. Much has changed in the platform since I first started using it, and I wanted to experience the new features first-hand. That, plus the fact I've considered pitching Wiley about writing TypePad For Dummies. (I mean, think about it. Why is there no For Dummies book about TypePad? Makes no sense.)
TypePad has gotten a lot more flexible since the 03 version, including easier access to CSS for customization purposes.
Oh, one more reason. I can create multiple blogs using a single account. I've reserved a couple of domains focused on Facebook and Twitter respectively, and hope to get someone(s) writing on those topics. Oh, and I still own the domain, theblogcoach.com. I'd love to do something with that as there are a lot of newbie bloggers these days.
So, I'm returning to my blogging roots. TypePad is where I cut my business blogging teeth and my fondness for it has never waned. Hence, it's the chosen platform for the Conversational Media Marketing blog... and others to follow.
